pollution control equipment
* Ease of handling & storage due to its size and as it can be packed in bags thereby reducing labour costs in handling,
sorting & breaking
* Clean to handle and keeps the surrounding environment clean. Availability of the fuel is better as it is usually produced
near the consumption center, reducing cost of storage and space. Cheaper than coal as it utilizes wastes and residues
which are avilable locally at low cost
ADVANTAGES IN BRIQUETTING

* burning is only 50% since more material flies as unburnt & so is costlier.

* consummation is 1 time only against 1.5 to 2 times of loose burning

* Because of the 6 - 1 volume, handling and transportation negligible compared to transporting loose materials
* 100% burning in case of briquettes
