2 to 3 mt of fresh pith when dried yields 1 mt
7 to 8 mt of dried pith yields  1 mt pure carbon
Pure carbon can also b activated & sold
Process Fresh pith contains 30 to 50 % water. Should b dried fully & sieved to remove small fibres, etc. then chemically calcined, washed & dried. drying done in s.steel trays by heating
